Marriage and Mimosas: Why Brunch Weddings Are Fabulous

Marriage and Mimosas: Why Brunch Weddings Are Fabulous

Every wedding I have ever attended, including my own, took place in the late afternoon and extended until late in the evening. I am sure that many of you have experienced the same thing as wedding guests. For this reason you are most likely puzzled at the idea of a wedding taking place in the early hours of the morning. However, do not write off a brunch wedding just yet! Keep reading to learn why having a wedding with a brunch instead of a dinner may make all of your wedding dreams become a reality.

Unavailable Dream Date? Not Anymore!

So many venues fill up quickly between the peak-season of May through October. It is heartbreaking when a bride calls in with her dream date and we have to turn her away because the date is already booked for a different event! However, one thing is very common between most all of the events booked during this time-frame: they take place in the late afternoon into the evening. With a wedding in the morning, you may still be able to secure your dream date and have the fabulous wedding that you have always dreamed of.  What’s not to love about that?

Breakfast Food and Mimosas: Need I Say More?
Let’s get to the best part: the food! Can you think of anything more mouth-watering than a buffet full of Belgian waffles, pancakes, bacon and doughnuts? Neither can I. Guests will enjoy the most important meal of the day with plenty of delicious, creative foods.

And let’s not forget about the beverages! Bottomless mimosas with a variety of fresh fruit to garnish, along with a Bloody Mary bar give guests options without overindulging before the day gets under way.

Romantic Background

Photographers will agree that some of the best natural lighting can be found in the early hours of the day. Instead of catching a sunset … catch the sunrise! The natural glow will cast a romantic ambiance about the room during the ceremony and celebration.

After Party for Hours

With a morning ceremony and reception, there is a wonderful opportunity to keep the celebration going for the rest of the day. Have an after party (or maybe even a few) throughout the rest of the day and maybe even the rest of the weekend. After the ceremony and brunch, host a dinner party or head somewhere to dance the night away! The options are endless and it gives you and your guest the chance to spend more time together while exploring the area you have chosen to tie the knot.

So pour the orange juice and pop some bubbly! Hosting a brunch wedding is a wonderful opportunity to maximize the celebration of one of the most important days of your life. Not to mention it will create a unique memory for you, your other half, and all of your guests!
